Interior Design Company Website

in Blog

Recently, we have the privilege of working with a top interior design company in Singapore, SYRB Pte Ltd. The goal of the client is very simple actually – a site that looks nice and simple to navigate.

When you look at the site,, nice is an understatement. But how simple is it to navigate? Well, if you’re looking at the site on a deskstop computer, go to any portfolio page; and instead of scrolling down the page with your mouse, try using the Down/Up arrow key. It will have the same effect too. Pressing the Left/Right key will bring you to the previous or next post. Swiping a portfolio page on your mobile phone or tablet to the left/right will also get you to the next or previous post! Simple as it may sound. But the coding is one of the most complicated we’ve done thus far!

This is what I’ve learned while doing this project: Sometimes things have to be complicated behind so that it’ll look simple in front! 🙂

Online Florist Site with BigCommerce

in Blog

Ever since we became an authorised reseller of the hosted ecommerce software, BigCommerce, we have received so many web design orders that we have to turn down a couple of them. Sorry folks!

BigCommerce is the fastest growing ecommerce platform in the world because it provides entrepreneurs like you with an affordable, enterprise-grade ecommerce platform that’s easy to manage and provides a rapid ROI.

The design customisation is almost 99% done with CSS. It’s pretty simple as far as we’re concerned. It’s so easy that we whipped out a site in less than a week. Normally, it’d take us at least 1 month or so.

Here’s one we did in a jiffy: Singapore Online Florist

Should I go for cheap web hosting?

in Blog

You know, even as an owner of a web hosting company, I’ve asked that question before!  In fact, I was tempted once to switch my personal, non-business websites to a cheap web hosting company. Some of the web hosting services offered by my competitors were so cheap they were way below my cost.  So I’ve decided to ‘fall’ for the temptation and switch some of my personal, non business sites there.

Boy, did I regret my decision! The site was always congested.  Pages took forever to download.  Ok, I exaggerated here a little. Not forever, but still too long for my liking.  Initially I thought, “What the heck, these are my personal sites. Why border about download speed?”  But then again, even if they were my personal sites, they’re still meant for people to see.  If not, why even bother to put it up on the worldwide web?  And if people could access my website, and if they observed that my websites were slow to download, it wouldn’t reflect very well on me, would it?

5 Benefits of Using WordPress as a CMS

in Blog

1. Cheap or Free

Using WordPress for your website means it’s cheap or free. WordPress is a free Content Management System (CMS) software, you only need to pay for the customisation of the web design. Compared with a paid CMS software, you can easily save thousands of dollars.

2. It’s That Easy
If you’ve got any computer savvy, WordPress is easy to use. If you can send an e-mail, use Microsoft Word or set up a Facebook account, then you can use WordPress. And normal use doesn’t run the risk of mucking up the design. It’s website creation for non-techies.
